Stranger in the House

and its ME...between my cold, Arthur and Bertie waging war on me, and the BIG INSPECTION, well--needless to say I've been kinda out of pocket..I have been eating pain pills and muscle relaxers and taking anti inflammatory once a day I've been knocked out for a few days..My grandson Josh and my Daughter worked and worked on the apartment..it wasn't that dirty its just what all you have to do, clean and wax the floors, clean stove and fridge, clean closets, no clutter anywhere an so on..I still have boxes in the closet floor I haven't unpacked..and my laundry room was something else, you know how you tend to stash things in a room that's not seen...welllll since I moved in March that's what I have been doing, I kept meaning to clean it out, but as I am sometimes a procrastinator, I never did...poor Angie got the job..they have my apartment looking better than when I moved in..so Friday comes and I wait and I wait and I wait some more, keeping all doors closed so Gemma won't mess them up, twice I found her in my bed, under the covers, looked like a lump in the bed..hehehe..and you know what...THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP to inspect..I was angry to say the least..I don't know if they are coming today or not...the kids didn't come over this weekend so it still look good..have a few little things to straighten up..but I'm sure proud of it..

I got something I've been wanting for a long time though..A computer room, since Chase moved out his room has been empty save for a bookcase..so I got my big computer desk from my old house, and my big chair, and we cleaned Chase's room good and moved my computer and all my things into his room..moved a chest from Andrews room into my room, moved the small computer desk to Andrews room..since they finally came and picked up his medical equipment and supplies, they cleaned the bedroom and lowered the bed as far as would go, put a bedspread on it..and a night stand and lamp, it looks like a regular br now..I never went in there before, It was just too painful.

So that about sums up what I've been doing. I have some things to show you today...

Oh by the way, have you picked up my grab bag yet?  They go off sale today..so you better hurry before Bunny moved them and they will be regular price..

You know this has to be from Marion, we have another picture of Sweet Baby James, it just thrills me to see his pictures and see how much better he looks and is doing....he's a miracle baby! This layout is just beautiful Marion..I love those hearts around the page..and the word art she chose is from Special Ones..and its just perfect for this page..

Wednesday Child Is Full of Woe

Hi Everybody,

Heard those old sayings about children born on different days of the week....well I wasn't born on Wednesday but this one is giving me WOE today LOL..

Found out yesterday that we are having a BIG INSPECTION in the apartment complex I live in..and just guess when..the

2nd-5th...do you know what that means...It means I'm in a pickle..my GS was here when I got the letter and he helped me clean my fridge and the stove and had to go..he's supposed to come back early this am..butttt since its already 10 am I don't think he's going to make it early LOL...Angie is coming down tomorrow and help me...Arthur and Bertie sure don't like for me to clean..they are so lazy they don't want to do anything where I have to move my arms!!! I called the office this morning and told them my tale of Woe and they said they would wait till Friday so I have a little reprieve.

I woke up with a summer cold...and its supposed to be Fall..gee can't anything keep up with the weather...and my oxygen concentrator decided to sing for me today and it's bleeping away in there and driving me nuts..called that office to and its going to be awhile before they can come out and check it..Gemma was barking at it but thank goodness she stopped hehehe..But I shouldn't complain about the little stuff..I'm alive by the Grace of God and I'm better off than some..

What day are you? Angie and I were born on Friday and Lori was born in the wee hrs of a Sunday Morning..My sister was born on Sunday too. I think Josh, Chase and Andrew were are born on Friday..Sarah Grace was born on a Wednesday and Jake on Saturday or late Friday night(I think) Gage was born on Saturday.

Oh well enough yaking..I have some more good stuff to show you.

I have a new kit my store today

I made this set for a good friend of mine who requested it. She has a special needs child..and she is so beautiful..however, most of them can be used for others as well..there are 20 word arts and its only $4.

This beautiful heritage page was made by PK doll she used word art from the Heritage part of my PU bag..its in the store now..

Another awesome LO by Maggie Mae..she has the most fantastic pictures of nature and such..I tell her she should publish one of those coffee table books with her pictures..she used WA from the Nature part of the PU bag..

O2BNGdHope made this one- Isn't it just precious..this little girl with the awesome smile is her GD Tayler dressed to match her Barbie Doll. She used word art from the Scrap Journal WA beautiful page

LABOR DAY IS OVER....PACK UP YOUR WHITE SHOES

Yep, that's what we used to do..after Labor Day... no more white shoes until Easter!!!

Hope you all had a great Labor Day holiday..I sure didn't do any labor, in fact I didn't do anything but lay on my comfy couch and watch a CSI Miami Marathon and sleep...was hoping Arthur and Bertie would go away...but darn they invited their cousins to move over to my left arm...that family is something else!!!

Oh and before I forget, I have been told people weren't leaving me comments because they had troubles with the Google log in, I think I have it fixed...log in with the Name URL, you don't have to put a URL if you don't have one, or don't want to..it will still work..or you log in as Anonyms but if do, please leave your name..I want to see who visited me... :)

ARTHUR AND BERTIE AND 2 AWARDS

Hi Folks..did you miss me...think I jumped ship..hehehe..I missed being here..Had an appointment with the Dr. Wednesday and got so mad grrrrrr..I had an appointment at 9am and got back to a room about 11am..saw the Dr. at 11:10 and he walked out finished at 11:15..I however, had to wait longer for my prescriptions..his diagnosis was arthritis and maybe a touch of bursitis or a pulled muscle..gave me some muscle relaxers and an anti-inflammatory

pill..well they relaxed me into never never land for about 2 days and nights..but my shoulder may be a bit better so I guess I will keep taking them and sleeping LOL..

WOW, folks maybe I should just stay away...I got TWO awards while I was gone!

Bunny Cates I met Bunny thru Kim and she has become a true friend..Bunny has a wonderful personality and is so smart, I'm in awe at the things she can do, and does them all well..she's the Owner of DSO and a super "Boss lady" she has also been a great help and encouragement to me in my designing endeavor..and I know sometimes I drive her nuts..but she's always there for me.

I'm Late I'm Late I'M Late

Sorry everyone for being so late with this post.  I feel like Alice in Wonderland when she fell in the hole..HEHEHE

We had storms all day yesterday and it has rained constantly for 3 days and nights..Angie got here yesterday and had been here about 10 minutes when all kinds of storm warnings started going out..so she left before it got to the route she had to take home..we had tornado sirens going on off and on all day..guess a lot of you are having the same kind of weather..Hurricane Faye on the warpath..I knew a Faye once and she was ALWAYS on the warpath about something or other..LOL

I am so thankful tomorrow is my Doctors appointment about my neck and arm.  I finally got enough drugs in me to make me just pass out sleeping and have slept most of the day away.  Got a phone call and got some of the fog out of my head.. sure glad Paula called, I wanted to watch more of the convention tonight.. not much news to write about from here I do have you a little freebie today..here's what I made with it

GOOD MONDAY MORNING

Good morning everyone..hope you all had a great weekend..it rained here all day Saturday, Saturday night, and most of Sunday..we sure needed it.  I love rainy days. My weekend was quiet..the boys came over on Saturday and spend the day..My next door neighbor brought me a bag of fresh okra and more tomatoes from his son's garden..they are so good to do that..I was going to cook supper for us and cook it but Arthur and Bertie (my names for arthritis and bursitis hehehe) joined me and stayed all day and night..I got some Ben Gay took some pain pills and finally went to sleep..kids woke me up sometime that night telling me they were going home..I remember Josh saying "Nana you smell like menthol" I guess that makes me officially an OLD nana cuz I remember that same smell from my Granny!!! I'm not complaining, I'm proud of all the years the Good Lord has give me and hope he gives me many more..

KimB..hope you had a great weekend with your friend Deon flying down to visit..How you feeling this morn LOL..luv ya..and speaking of friends visiting..The DSO Girls are having a retreat next year, we have the date and place all set. I can't wait to meet everyone..we have a year to save our pennies..LOL Its really really something to look forward to..

I did some redecorating on the home place here..added some things..pictures of my daughter Lori with Josh and Chase and Josh with Andrew..thought you might like to see them..and some other goodies..let me know what you think of the new look..

Angie called at 7 am this morning and woke me up..she's coming to spend the day with me..I think she is very depressed today and needs her mom..I'm so thankful she is close enough to come for a visit..so I have to go soon and get ready..

You know, I am so blessed with online friends..they are such an important part of my life, and they are so good to me.. My friend Jenni at Chaos Lounge sent me her new kit Summers End isn't it just beautiful..

I'M BAAACCCKKKK

Love, Laughter and Friendship are Welcome Here.

Hi Everyone..well I've heard it said that "coming home is the best part of going away", you know I think that's true.  I had a WONDERFUL time at Angies house..I had the day time to spend with her and the afternoons and night to spend with the boys..it was just awesome.  They boys have a ritual of watching a movie for about 45 minutes or so before they  go to bed..they have a playroom and folks the only pieces of furniture to sit on are 2 beanbags!! I am sure it was quiet funny watching this old lady get out of the floor..HEHEHEHE 

They have a beautiful home and have it decorated so pretty.  They live on the outskirts of Huntsville..but way OUT..they have close neighbors but its still what I call "in the country"..lol They have a neighbor who has a big garden and he has been keeping them in fresh veggies this summer..and some of the best tomatoes I have ever eaten..oh talk about good...these are better than good..I brought a bag full home with me and gave some to my mom, she said they were the best tomatoes she has eaten since she was a girl and her dad raised them!! I'm having a sandwich for lunch and its making me hungry just talking about them!!

I don't know where my daughter learned to cook but she can sure cook...she fed me very very well with some of the best meals that I've had in a long long time...just delicious!!! She made a salad type dish with a layer of those awesome tomatoes, a layer of onions sliced very thin, and a layer of cucumbers sliced thin, she added sugar, dill, and some oil and vinegar and let it set for a long time...you all should try it...its out of this world.

Angie and Gage getting ready for school..I did this for Kims Color Challenge Poor Gage has so many cowlicks, he inherited them from my dad, that it is hard to get his hair combed down..almost impossible..we are all plagued with those darn things..LOL
