on a VERY SAD note

Hi everyone, this is Kim.
Please bear with me and just read about a wonderful lady who could use some LOVE and support from her friends right now.

Some of you might not know Jazzy that well, and have only just met her through her blog-

If you read the last post by Jazzy- you will understand some of what I am trying to say here today.
Jazzy's Daughter Lori passed away a few months ago ( while Jazz was in hospital recovering from her own health problems at the time)-

and now on Saturday night her dearest grandson- ANDREW passed away in her arms at home. He was 16.
Andrew was a VERY special boy indeed and after nearly drowning as a toddler , has lived with Jazz , she has cared for him and made sure he received the best care and love he deserved! She fought courts and child services to keep him at home! Even a few months ago again!
After his mom Lori died, he had been going downhill with his health- almost as if he knew his mom was waiting for him. He let go on Saturday night in Jazzy's arms at home- with her reassurance that everything would be fine and he could go, and that he was loved.

I just wanted to let everyone know and thought these two LO's that Jazz did would help some of you understand why and just how very special Jazzy is to all of us that know her well-

Heavens VERY Special Child
Jazzy, my heart and prayers are with you during this time and I know just how much you loved Andrew and just how much he meant to you. I don't have the words to say here.

I am hoping that your words will touch this special Lady over the miles that seperate us all and that it will help her through this very sad time.

LOVE YOU JAZZ.
(ps- please pop on to my blog today- there is a special message and mini-freebie there that I would like everyone to see too)

My heart goes out to you. I have been a secret admirer of your word art for a while now, and I love your new blog, and was so pleased to hear that we were uplifting you. And now this. Here is a poem that helped me through the loss of a loved one.

> God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
> He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
>
> He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
> His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
>
> He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
> And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
>
> He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
> He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
>
> When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
> We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
>
> You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
> You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
>
> It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
> For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

Hugs
Kerri

Jazzy,
Words cannot express the hurt I feel within my own self at this very moment learning of your loss... which has too, left me to realize I could never imagine the pain within your own heart and that I could only hope that as you read the words of comfort people have left for you that in some way it helps to bring you some peace.
My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family. Although it is tragic and very sad.. indeed know God does have a plan for you.
Thank You for the inspiration you have brought to us all. You are indeed a Beautiful and Couragous woman. God is very blessed to have two very special angels with him now, as they were apart of you.

Dearest Jazzy,

I am SO AWKWARD at comforting - my mind immediately goes into brainfreeze, or is it heart-lock.

I think about those I love, and what it means to lose someone. Even the most well prepared loss is a an indescribable pain. We can all only stand on the outside of it, hoping that we can bring you a degree of comfort in knowing we are here for you.

I searched for a sentiment (and searched AND SEARCHED) but nothing could say what I wanted, except this:

"One thing I have noticed is that when the leaves fall off the trees in the autumn, the new buds are already there, waiting for spring. Perhaps this is God's way of reminding us that there is always something beautiful to look for when something has been lost."

- by Callie Goodrich

God never said we would not lose those we love, and sometimes we cannot see WHY we lose someone... but know there IS a purpose. I'm sure Andrew was a blessing in your life, for the brief time he was here.

Do you suppose, Jazzy, that we might help by being that 'something beautiful'? If you have a photo and would like me to do a layout for you of Andrew I would be honored.

Thank you for sharing your grief and loss with us.

Across the miles & praying for you and your family,

Love,
Barb

Jazzy, I cannot begin to imagine the emptiness your heart must be experiencing right now. I can't say I know what you're going through because I don't, to lose your beautiful daughter and now that special grandson. But I do know that God has promised us that peace that truly does pass all our human understanding, and I pray that you and your family feel that peace right now and in the days, months, and years to come. I don't think anyone ever "gets over" the loss of a child or grandchild, but the Bible also promises us that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." I pray your "morning" comes soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

jazzy, i've "known" you through kim b's blog, and now i find you have your own. thank you for your wonderful word art. and please accept my sympathies for your recent losses. the loss of one's parents don't compare to the loss of a child and grandchild, but death is death, and not life - or at least not this one. may peace find your heart and heal your soul. blessings to you.

Be Comforted

Treasure precious memories. Remember the love. Discover peace within. Have faith. Seize hope. Draw on inner strength. Release fear. Let yourself cry. Take comfort in friends. Be patient with yourself. Trust in tomorrow. Attend to your needs. Ask for help. Let others give. Trust enough to take.

Be comforted.

Lean on others. Know people care. Feel the warmth of friendship. Be circled by love. Vow to move forward. Know the sun will shine. Behold new life. See the light ahead. Explore your heart. Seek healing. Let time pass. Look ahead with confidence. Celebrate the dawn.

Oh, Jazz. I know you must be devastated at this additional loss. I just can't imagine how strong you must be to fight your way through these emotional losses to keep your faith in God so close. I heard a song once many years ago, sung by a young teenage girl who's father had had a stroke when he was in his early 30's. He was paralized on one side. The only parts I can remember of it were the choruses.

"Will I be a crippled boy in heaven? Will my wings refuse to sail through the air? Will I run and play with all the other children? Will I be a crippled boy up there?"

After meeting the Lord, he's reassured that:
"I won't be a crippled boy in heaven. Soon my wings are gonna sail through the air! I can run and play with all the other children. I won't be a crippled boy up there!"

Can't you just see him? All the pain and illness are gone. I'm sure Jesus was waiting for him at the gate with his arms open wide. He can sing in the choir! And meet Noah and hear the story of the ark from someone who was actually there. He can meet Daniel and hear the story of the lions den. Go ahead and grieve at his loss from your own life but rejoice at what a beautiful day, his first day in heaven!

Hi Jazzy,

I hope I can keep coming to comfort you. I'm very inept and grasp for what the 'right' thing to say would be, but upon pondering, its not WHAT I could say, but just that I'll BE HERE, not just today, but I'll try to come back a bit later... later when everyone's lives have gotten back into a routine. When the pain is still fresh, but you kinda feel like you might have 'worn people out' by being 'back there' with your loss. I will try to be a fresh ear, a shoulder when you need to be. I can't know what exactly you need, but I want you to know I'm up to it, whatever your IT is.

I'm going to be praying for you over the coming weeks.

Dearest Jazzy,

I do not know you personally, nor have I been to your blog before hearing of the loss of your PRECIOUS grandson, Andrew. I have only recently come to know of the loss of your daughter, Lori, while reading Kim's blog posts when she had designed a special scrapkit for you to scrap photos of Lori.

Is not this just the MOST incredible network of women one could ever imagine? And to read all of the HEARTFELT words from those in SCRAPLAND will not take away the deep pain of your loss of dearest Andrew, nor Lori, but they will fill your heart with MORE love with which to ease that pain a little each day.

I am SADDENED for you, yet JOYFUL for Andrew as he is no longer suffering the loss of his mother. I can ONLY imagine the LOVE you have given him for the past 16 years. I can see the results of it in his SWEET face in the layouts that Kim posted for us to see!

You are a GEM Jazzy. I shall be making sure to come back and visit and I really wish to see this WONDERFUL word art that I am hearing talked about!

You are DEEP in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss. May you be comforted during the difficult days ahead.

Much love to you my dearest digi-sister and BIG HUGS,
