Stunned Thursday

Good Morning Everyone

From the title I guess you can tell I'm still stunned today from last nights American Idol winner...I was saying Adam and then wham the winner is Chris...I was so shocked I immediately picked up the phone to call my sister and she was on the line..her and my mom voted for Chris...I didn't much care which won..I wanted Danny to win..he was my favorite of them all..although I'm sure he will get a contract too. I really enjoyed the show last night, Queen was on and Kiss, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richey, a lot of my favorites.

I didn't make it yesterday, I was babysitting Kaylen and boy what a day!! That little girl is on the ball..she's EVERYWHERE before you can say scoot...I spent a lot of time holding her and rocking her and she seemed to like it...I think she may miss her nana a little bit.. late in the afternoon I finally got her to sleep, but only a short nap and then it was more of the same..by the time Josh picked her up at 6:30 my tail was dragging the ground LOL..but I loved every minute of it...she says goggie for doggie and she called Gemma all day..they love each other.

Now on to the goodies..I have a new kit out today called

Good Morn everyone...

It's already Wednesday, this week has gone by fast.  It's result night on American Idol...oh I am so hoping Danny makes it thru tonight..I spent 2 hrs last night voting...I got thru a lot of times...forgot to count..lol

I went to mothers for supper last night...Cathy fixed homemade hamburgers.....mine was so fat I could hardly eat it..but is was sooo good..we watched AI together then I rushed home to vote...Cathy was on her cell phone voting     for Danny and Mother was on her phone voting for Chris...lol they were just canceling each others vote!

THE DAY AFTER

Hello Everyone...

I hope all you mothers out there had a nice Mothers Day. My day was WONDERFUL...I just have to tell you all about it!

We were supposed to leave at 10 am to go to Angies, I was ready at 9:45.  Cathy left for Walmart to get camera batteries at 9:15 and got home at 10:20...then she had to eat a bite and curl mothers hair and load the car...and so on, so we got on the road about 11:30.  We had a nice ride, it rained some but it was overcast and not to hot..Cathy and I listened to an oldies station and tried to guess the name of the songs and who sang them...I lost that big time..my mind remembered the words but not who sang the song or its name.

We made good time and got to Huntsville with no problems..but kabam...all of a sudden we were completely in another county and way lost! After we drove around for an hour, Cathy decided to call Angie. We got directions and made it there without any more problems...

When we got there Gage and Zane gave me, mother and Cathy little Orchid corsages which were just beautiful..Angie had fixed dips and chips for us to nipple on while Dave grilled steaks..Me, Cathy, Gage and Zane bowled with the Wii and had a ball..I want one of those games!!

Angie fixed a garden salad with fresh tomatoes cucumbers, red yellow and green peppers 2 kinds of lettuce, cheese and croutons, she made a broccoli salad which was also delicious, and my favorite, Spinach salad with bacon and blue cheese vinaigrette, baked potatoes with butter and sour cream and the biggest rib eye steaks that were so tender you could almost cut them with a fork..I ate so much I was ashamed of  myself LOL.

After lunch we looked at scrapbooks I had made for Gage and for Zane, a few years ago and at picture books they had.  We decided we would leave in time to get home before it got really dark..and so we could watch cold case..Dave gave Cathy some directions and we were on our way..

We made it from their house to Huntsville with no problems at all..but that's where things went kabam again...this time we went over a big bridge and into another county again(IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THIS TIME)...I had tried to tell Cathy how we had to go and she insisted that was not right..sooooo we turn around and head back the way we came..she listened to me that time and we got on the straight and narrow and on our way...we made good time but we were an hour later getting home and missed cold case!!

The day was so much fun, it was the first mothers day in 12 years that I had spent with Angie..and she went so out of her way to make the day a great one for us...I have the sweetest and bestest daughter in the world. We made some pictures, not very good ones, but pictures all the same...

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there.  I hope you have a very very wonderful day.

My mother, my sister and I are going to Angies today. They are going to grill steaks for us and Angie has made some wonderful salads..I can't wait..Dave sure knows how to grill!!

I just wanted to wish you a Happy Mothers Day and leave a little present for you.  I hope you like it.

FRIDAY AT LAST

Good Morning Everyone:

How do you like my new look? My good friend and designer Kim B did it for me...thanks Kim I LOVE LOVE LOVE it..

WOW I live close to the hospital and the medic vac copter just flew over so low it blew my fan, telephone, and other stuff off the table in front of the window...scared the you know what out of me...ok back to the blog

It FINALLY stopped raining here and I think it's moving into Georgia...get out your rain gear and get prepared!!! Sorry not my fault..Mother nature picked you out!

Kaylen spent the afternoon with me the other day and man did she wear me out...now I know why God gives babies to younger folks..she loved the dogs water bowl and the cd player and the cds, power cords, and everything on the table she could reach...and now she HATES to take a nap..but I read and rocked her to sleep...A nana privilege...I can't help it if she wants her daddy to read and rock her to sleep when she gets home!!!

Ok on to some news and some goodies...

As you know every month we have new challenges at DSO..this month I jumped in and took Kims color challenge  and this is what I came up with..

These are the colors..I made the papers and elements with the exception of the heart string and that came from Kims Antoinette Kit I like the way this one turned out..I scrap lifted parts of it from a page entitled "Wonderful Tasha".

RAINY WEDNESDAY

Good Morning Everyone

I've been MIA for a few days for several reasons..mother nature decided we needed Thunderstorms off and on everyday, and that caused computer down time.  On top of that I think I was just plain tired and lost my get up and go somewhere...last week was such a rushed time getting everything ready for NSD.  I hope you guys got to shop till you dropped and got lots of goodies..

Kendra is having her baby shower on Saturday..they are so excited.  They have decided to name him Damon Reese..I really don't like it but they would not let me name him..Its pronounced day-mon ...and the Reese is after Josh.  Kaylen is crawling all over everywhere and pulling up to everything she can reach..she will be walking soon..about the time her little brother gets here so they will really have a good time..LOL kwim
