A TAD LATE

Good Morning everyone…hope your day is going good. It’s dark and raining here in Gadsden.  Not much is going on here in my neck of the woods..LOL I realize I’m a tad late in blogging again…I had such good intentions…but, well you know what they say!!!

Josh Kendra and the kids came to see me yesterday…what should I say, oh, I know MAYHEM..lol you know the insurance commercials with Mayhem..well that’s what it’s like sometimes when they visit..

Jaxon is all boy and he has to check out EVERYTHING…and get into everything that’s not tied down…Kaylen is not so rowdy, she just has to have ALL her toys out of the toy box (Been doing that since was a baby) her books with her, and the TV on SPROUT…she will sit and watch it all day and night if you let her..talk about addicted..she is definitely addicted..and at 28 months it’s funny how she does..I love to watch her while she’s watching but Barney, Sesame Street, the Wiggles and so on get really mind boggling after awhile LOL

She cried so when they started to leave and hung on to me, I just had to let her spend the night…that’s just exactly the way her daddy used to do me at that age, I would not go to their house unless I was able to take him home with me..I wouldn’t let Kaylen stay the other night and she cried halfway home…I’m just an old softie…(I can just hear my sister about now!)

She also thinks when she stays with Nana she should stay up as late as she wants too..well I used to let my nephew stay up as late as he wanted to when he came to visit because he didn’t get to come that often and when they did, he wanted to come to Aunt Yinda’s house..so what can you do…lol His dad didn’t much like it because he was so ill the next day…but you have to do something special do make special memories…right? Except now I am much older and I get sleepy and Kaylen does NOT…she gets wide awake the minute Josh and Kendra walk out the door…last night I got the fly swatter after her, but she just looked at me like I was crazy and went on about her business..lol of course I barely swatted her..she is so funny, when I close my eyes, I hear “Wake up Nana” in this loud little voice, I open my eyes and she is right in my face..

The big bright spot in my week was Angie coming to see us. The boys were out of school for Veterans Day and Angie was off work as she works at a College. Dave was out of town taking some test.  We had a wonderful day..it was so great to see them all again..I really have missed them since I came home.  Macy just gets more beautiful and she is growing…and she is such a good baby.  I was so happy that my mother got to see her great granddaughter, her first..Kaylen is a great great. Her Aunt Cathy was a fool over her to. It made me happy just watching them both.  Gage and Zane have grown too..Zane loves to watch TV and would sit quietly and watch for hours, Gage on the other hand, gets bored after awhile and then he gets mischievous..but all in all is was a good day..

NEW STORE NEW PRODUCTS

Good Morning Everyone

It’s raining here this morning and chilly…about time for some fall weather..

Our little Macy is not feeling good, she has fluid in her ears and a terrible head cold, she can’t sleep laying down so Angie has been sitting up with her to sleep. The doctor said it could be the beginning of the RSV virus. I hope and pray not.. Oh, how I remember those days when Angie was a baby and plagued with bad ear infections. I didn’t have a rocker but my kitchen chairs bounced so I sat up in the chair and we slept.  When my granddaddy found that out, he and my mom brought me one of my Granny’s antique rockers and gave it to me..I was so proud of that chair. We had to have tubes put in her ears when she was just a baby.  Gage inherited them also, he had tubes when he was a year old.

Kaylen spent the night with me a week or so ago..oh is she a talker and she LOVES and I mean LOVES the Sprout Network, that is a channel that shows only children’s programs like Sesame Street, The Wiggles, Barney, Thomas the Train and so on..it stays on 24-7 and she wants to watch it ALL the time..she is so cute watching it, she claps, and dances, points, jumps, but once you have it on the channel, she will say “give me da remote” lol she wants to have it so you can’t change the channel, and if you start to she says “NO NANA NO NANA” if you change it she cries like her heart will break..They are not letting her watch it so much and making her play and do other things. 

Jaxon is such a beautiful little boy, he has a head full of curly hair, it’s just in ringlets..he is all boy for sure and into EVERYTHING..I told Josh he was going to pay for his raising with him..lol His favorite thing to do is mess with my oxygen concentrator, he knows he is going to get in trouble, but he just looks at you and dares you to get on to him…then he goes to the bookcase and takes the tops off of some old vases, looking at you as he does it, knowing he’s going to get in trouble for that too…he will say no, no, no…he can say Nana when he wants to and bye..he loves to patty cake.

I sure miss Gage and Zane too..while I was there, they would come up out of the blue with hugs and telling me they love me…ok ok, I could talk about my GK forever but I have important things to show you and tell you…

October 31st was the last day our stores were at DSO..it was sad seeing them go away.  My new store at Digitals opened on November 1st and seems to be doing well…I have some new products I want to show you.

All of my older Fall and Thanksgiving sets and all of my Christmas sets are also in my store…working on new Christmas sets now.

Ok gang, better say bye for now…would you believe I did not realize yesterday was the 3rd..my mind is really going..so I have to get out in the rain today and pay some bills and do some grocery shopping.YUCK!

BIG CHANGES

Hello everyone…I have been MIA for awhile as so much has been going on.  I want to share some of it with you today.

First, I am the proud Nana of my 1st granddaughter, Macy Reese, she was born Sept. 7th, 7lbs. 15oz. Of course I have pictures to show LOL.

I have sooo many pictures of Macy already, more than any of my other grandchildren at this age. Her mamaw Glenda loves to make pictures and have photo shoots…thankfully!!I will show you some more later.  Here are some of the layouts I have done so far…behind on that also!

The title is from my Sweet Baby Girl set.

This is also one of the overlays in my Give Thanks-Overlays that will be in the new store. I added the bench and other extra elements..I like overlays because you can add to them or you can just insert your picture and poof you have a beautiful new layout. (BG Paper not included)

I guess most of you have heard by now that DSO  will no longer have a design team. Today (October  31st) will be our last day there.  It makes me sad as that is where I started my design career.  I have made many friends there that I will never forget. DSO will still be open, the forum, gallery, challenges and other things will still be there. Be sure you check for all the new things Bunny has in store.

Life changes and this is just one of those changes. As of November 1st I will be a part of the design team at DIGITALS.  I am excited about the future and I hope all of you will visit my new store .  Be sure and check back here often as there are some big surprises in the works.

SURPRISE SUPERISE SUPRISE!!!

Hello everyone, didn’t expect to find me here did ya…Angie had a WONDERFUL baby shower on Sunday the 22nd, Miss Macy will outgrow clothes before she even gets to wear them..I have never seen so many presents..I swear she opened gifts for 3 hours LOL..was so happy I got to be there.

They went on Wednesday the 25th for the sonogram…Macy is fine, she has a big belly..lol  if Angie doesn’t have her before, they are going to induce labor on the 7th…which happens to be Chases birthday…Kaylen was born on Angie’s BD..  Angie hasn’t been having anymore contractions on  I decided to come home for a few days to take care of some unfinished business, I left all my things there so if I have to I can jump in the car and take off..The boys were disappointed that I left..that made me feel good..

Well you know what the day is…September 1st and good things happen on the 1st at DSO…just wanted to tell you about a couple..

First its a new challenge..mine is the Altered Photo Challenge. It’s a very easy challenge and if you take it I have this posting bonus for you.

WHAT A WEEK

Hello everyone…can’t believe it is Friday already..I have a long blog today so get comfy…

First off I had a request for a recipe from Tasha..when our boys were growing up we always had a houseful of kids,most of them called me Nana and I feel like I half raised some of them.. sometimes we ended up feeding them..LOL, I found a recipe for Corned Beef Casserole and decided to try it. I wasn’t sure if anyone would like it but I made it anyway…OH WOW..it was a HIT..everyone loved it..so just for you Tasha here it is…big hug girl..hope your family likes it like you do..

1(8oz) package medium egg noodles, 4 tablespoons butter or margarine divided, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped green pepper, 2 cups shredded cheese, divided, 1 12 oz can can corned beef broken into little pieces, 1 10 3/4oz. cream of chicken soup, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumbs.

Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in skillet, add onion and green peppers, sauté’ 5 minutes..in a buttered 2 1/2 quart casserole, layer half the noodles, half the onion and peppers, 1 cup cheese and all the corned beef, repeat the layers of onion and peppers and cheese, stir together soup and milk and pour over casserole, combine breadcrumbs with the remaining butter and sprinkle over the top. Bake at 350 degrees 40 minutes.

This works fine without the green peppers and onion, Chase won’t eat them..It’s easy to make and great for when you don’t want to cook a lot, sometimes we just had the casserole, sometimes I added a vegetable or salad and rolls.

I have sometime to talk to you about today..I am taking a leave of absence for a month..as most of you probably know my daughter Angie is having a baby, a little girl and her name is Macy Reese (the Reese is after my dad) Miss Macy has decided she doesn’t want to wait until September 19 to join the family, Angie has dilated to 3 and still having pains off and on..also the baby is larger than she should be at this stage. They are doing a sonogram on Wednesday and depending on how big she is, they may induce labor.  Angie doesn't want her to be so big that she can’t have her naturally.

I have decided (to make sure I don’t miss her arrival), to leave tomorrow to go to stay with them. I want to be able to help Angie in the house and with the boys. She is still trying to work. Then I have to be there after they get home so I can spoil Macy as only a grandmother can…and take care of Angie.  I’m so excited about being nana again..I know this will be my last grandchild.  God has really blessed me with 4 GS, 2GGC, and now another GC, my 1st little girl.  I have been there with they were all born and in the delivery room with the 4 boys.  Was at the hospital when the GGC were born.

I won’t be able to do a blog, unless Angie can teach me how to use her Mac..I don’t learn new things easily now…lol 

My sweet sister went on a shopping spree for me, she got me new tops, and pants and a jacket, all of them are just beautiful..I’m so proud of them all..thanks sis, she wants me to be a well dressed Nana…She even got me a pink one to wear when Macy is born…wasn’t that thoughtful..my sister is always doing something for someone..I love you lots..

Now down to business…lol

I have another new set of cluster frames and word art in the store.
