A NEW WEEK

Hello folks, hope you all are doing great this morning..and that you had a wonderful Easter Weekend.  Mine was very quiet and restful. I watched Bible story movies all day Sunday.  I was flipping thru channels and found one on and I started watching, come to find out they were on all day and night.  I really enjoyed them..and it was a good way to spend the day, after all Jesus is the real meaning of Easter. I did get out and visit Mother and Cathy..Cathy was playing games on the computer and mother was just laying around. Josh and his family were eating with Kendra’s family, Chase was at his dad’s, Angie and her family were moving so we didn’t cook..neither me, Mother or Cathy wanted a big meal.  I was going to take chocolate bunnies to Kaylen and Jaxon and watch them eat them and make pics,  but Josh got sick with a stomach virus and I didn’t want to be around that…I will carry them another day and make pictures, no one will ever know they weren’t made on Easter LOL…I did buy myself one little white chocolate bunny…it was good and I made it last all night lol..Kendra said Kaylen got play jewelry in her Easter basket and had it all on at one time, even the rings, and she also got some wings and she had those on too..I hope she made pictures for me as I know she was so cute in all that. 

Chase spent the night with me Thursday and Friday and swept and mopped my apartment.  Josh and Kendra got Church’s Fried Chicken and we ate with them Friday night…It was sure good..Jaxon is growing so much and is sitting up now.  Seems like he grows more everyday and is so different from one visit to the next.  He and Kaylen really love each other…he just stares at her and laughs and jabbers and she looks at him and jabbers back..like they know what each is saying..she calls him Jaxy.. I sure hope it doesn’t stick on him!

SURPRISE SURPRISE I’M HERE

Hello Everyone

Well, I really don’t know where to start, I think I’ve forgotten how to blog!!

My week at  Angie’s seem to fly by, I enjoyed keeping the boys and Gage wanted me to stay.  I also loved spending time with Angie. I tried using her Mac but I just couldn’t get the hang of it. I don’t have any Adobe programs for a Mac so I decided it was useless to bring it home with me.  I did, however, get a big surprise.  I did Josh’s taxes for him and he had told me when his refund came he was going to buy me new glasses.  I had already gotten them so he called and told me to get ready we were going shopping. They bought me a new 20 in. monitor, first I got a 22 in. but it was really to big and the color wasn’t good on it so we took it back and got a 20 in.flat screen which I LOVE..I also got a new 1 Terabyte hard drive for an extra drive, and a new Natural ergonomic keyboard, I had one a long time ago and loved it but haven’t seen one in awhile. I feel like I have a new computer..I put all of my scrapbook stuff on the new drive and only have a few programs on the main drive.  I have 841 GB of space left on the new drive LOL..I found out that 1 terabyte is equal to 1,000 GB..I’m wondering how long it will take me to fill it up! I watched part of a movie on here and the monitor is bigger than my portable TV in my bedroom. I have been moving stuff off and on for the rest of the week and it took a LONG time..I have been working some to and have some new word art called “Sis and Me” coming out this week..and on the first our Pick Your Bits kit will be out.  I working on Spring into Spring now and hope it will be in the store next week.

On a visit to Angie’s, when she lived in Vegas ,I got  started reading a series of books called The OUTLANDER series by Diana Gabaldon.  I didn’t think I would like them and they were so big, I didn’t want to read them.  One day Angie was at work and I got bored so I started reading the first one in the series, about 2 chapters into it I couldn’t put it down,  I finished that one and started the next and then took the rest of them home with me when I left.  I don’t know how to describe them, they are compelling, well-written, well-researched novels that defy categorization.  Are they time travel?  Historical romance?  Historical fiction?  The only thing I know for certain -  they are exceptional.  Angie had one of the new books in the series and I brought it home with me but when I start to read I tend to fall asleep…Is that a sign I’m getting old? LOL I haven’t finished the one before the one I brought home and now she has a 7th one out so I’m way behind LOL.

In 1945, Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon—when she innocently touches a boulder in one of the ancient stone circles that dot the British Isles. BACK AGAIN!!!

Hello Everyone  here I am again.  Sorry I have been away so long..after my stay in the hospital I’ve just been taking it easy and haven’t been on the computer much at all.  This thing has about seen its better day, still not working right and is a pain to use.  I’ve debugged, done my scans daily, and nothing seems to work.  I need a new one but my budget says not now LOL

Another thing that happened that I am so excited about  I got new glasses..I can see again..lol it’s so great not to have me nose on the monitor to see..I love my frames..they are a pale lavender..my sister said I was in the 21st century now LOL..I will have to make a picture and show you.

Thanks to you 11 who left comments..I really appreciate the well wishes and the prayers..that’s what got me thru and has kept me going. I do feel better now than I have in a long time.  I’m getting around much better and can do more now around the house..I even felt so good I got to keep Jaxon overnight for the 1st time..he is such a good little baby, its hard to believe he is 7 months old, but I got up and down out of the floor and could carry him around, which I’ve not had the breath to do in a long time..I had so much fun with him.  It was the 1st time I’ve really been able to spend time with him without miss jealous Kaylen..

Las night Kaylen spent the night with me..she’s growing so much and I really can’t believe she will be 2 in July.  When Kendra put her down she just ran across the room with her arms out..she got in my lap and that is where she stayed for most of the night..she got her toys out of course, and found her favorite book and we read it over and over and over..lol

I will be gone next week to Angie’s..she and Dave are coming to get me today..I am going to keep the boys while they are out for spring break..I’m really looking forward to spending time with them all.  I’m glad I’m feeling so much better now, I can cook supper for them and do some of the household things while Angie is working.  Angie has a Mac computer that she has said I can use..but I have never seen one nor know anything about them, but they say the are better than a PC and they don’t get virus’s..If I figure it out and can use it, maybe I can do a blog from there..I will just have to see..

HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE…………….

throwing your computer out the window and pulling your hair out!!!!

That’s the way I feel right now…I’ve been working on this computer since Friday and I’m hoping it stays on for me to write this blog..Miss Lucy is tired of life I believe..she keeps trying to just shut down and never wake up..but I keep telling her “Lucy, (that’s what I call her when I’m upset with her)sugar honey baby, you just can’t do that until my ship comes in or my rich Uncle (unknown) dies” lol

At this point in time I’ve about got all of my programs reinstalled.  I’ve been going thru CD’s putting some things back on that didn’t survive Lucy’s latest episode, and decided this was a good time to do some spring cleaning (early) and get rid of a lot of things I never used..but I’m a pack rat of sorts, and I keep thinking “you might need that or want to use that” but then I know I would just forget I saved it and never use it..just ask my sister, she told me the other day my computer room was a mess..referring mostly to my bookcase which is shelves of stuff piled every which way, but I like it like that, I know where everything is when I want it!! I have to agree with her that it needs a good cleaning up..got to get Chase on the cleaning part this weekend..

Well, where should I start, a lot has happened since we talked last, a week ago today we got some snow..not just a dusting..but real honest to goodness, stick to the ground snow!! Here’s a picture my sister made of how much of the white stuff there was in my mothers yard…wouldn’t you know it, the kids had my camera making new pictures of the kids. I called Kendra to tell her to make pictures and she was outside building a snowman..Kaylen hated it and was standing at the door watching her, I’m betting this picture is the only we’ll have LOL

It was so beautiful falling, I was in the computer room trying to finish some new word art, I had the blinds open so I could watch it fall, but I have this problem, I can’t see to work on the computer with my glasses on, and I can’t see 2 feet with them off, so all I was doing was taking them off and on. Out  my window I could see the school yard and the church and the some other yards also across the street, and it looked like a picture. Two little girls were in the school yard trying to build a snowman but they had to stop and have a snowball battle, I had a good time just watching them play.Wouldn’t you know it, I have a huge magnolia tree right outside my window, and not one flake stuck under it..lol

I know some of you were buried under the white stuff and hated it, I am sure it would get old and dangerous if you lost power and had no heat or no way to cook, or not to be able to travel on the roads, but I bet all of your children LOVED it..NO SCHOOL..I remember when my girls were growing up, we used to get several good snows a year, we would get prepared by getting good books to read, movies to watch, and plenty of junk food..it was rare when we lost power, unless we had ice..because snow shuts everything down here..lol..just hear the word snow on the news and there is a rush on the grocery stores for milk, bread, sandwich fixings. I have been late getting there and found the shelves bare of bread and coolers with no milk!  OK OK enough about snow!

I just watched a preview of a new mini series coming to HBO in March, its called The Pacific. If you liked Pearl Harbor, you should love this one..I can’t wait to see it..

I managed to finish a word art set between down time..I’m hoping it will be in the store early next week..its called Rustic Warmth and it was made to accompany KimB’s Designs new kit of the same name. Check back for release date.

Several weeks ago my friend, Sharon aka Scrapcat4914 asked me to make her some word art for her memorial page for her dear husband. I was so thrilled that she asked to make it for her..this is the beautiful layout she made.  Visit her Blog and read the sweet and loving message she wrote to him.

Good morning everyone..it’s a cloudy cold day here…I know some of you are buried under snow and ice..the winter has really come in with a bang this year…even Alabama is expecting some snow on Friday…of course only predictions of 1-3 inches and most of it is to the south and will miss me…but they did change the forecast a little this morning saying cities more to the north might see an inch..or a dusting..probably the latter because I love it so!

I have to tell you about this picture..it was Easter Sunday around 1960..my dad had not been out of the hospital long from having his leg amputated..I thought I was hot stuff in my Easter Hat..it looked like a big beehive and it was BRIGHT ORANGE SILK FLOWERS! in different shades..big chunky beads, also orange, gloves..yep orange also..my dress was off white as were my shoes..Cathy looked so cute in her dress with all the crinolines and lacy socks..and of course her hat was more refined..lol  I remember that day so well..

Angie and her family, they got to go to a Dodgers game when they played the Braves in Atlanta..they all had a wonderful time. I tinted the picture as the Dodger blues did not match my layout..!!

Congratulations Saints

Good Monday morn everyone..hope you had a great weekend. How about the Super Bowl…it was a great game and the Saints came from behind to win..I don’t keep up with pro ball much..I like to watch the Tennessee Titans but that’s about it..I decided to be for the Saints because they were the underdog and they had never won the Super Bowl before..they played their hearts out and came from behind in the 3rd quarter and won!  The folks in New Orleans needed that….they haven’t fully recovered from Katrina.

I had a good weekend…half of the time anyway LOL My photo shop tired its best to die on me on Friday night and Saturday..I’m thinking it was because of all the fonts I have..lol I need lots of them, heck that’s the MAIN part of all my designing..but I got rid of a ton of them that I didn’t use and cleaned out some other stuff so I’m hoping it will run better now..

Sunday was a great day..Angie and the boys came down for the day, Angie and I cooked and Mother and Cathy came over to eat with us, we watched a good movie and just had a good time being together…Cathy has been down with her back this weekend..she couldn’t even sit at the computer and play Bejeweled..I finally got her to take a desk chair that I wasn’t using, home with her and it worked…I called her last night during the ballgame and she was using the computer…LOL.I like playing Bejeweled to but I have decided I am too old, too slow, and can’t see..my score gets to a certain point and never moves till they wipe them out on Tuesday..Cathy and Angie are both good at it..and Cathy got my cousin hooked on it too! Hope you are feeling better sis.
