Cold Monday

Hello Everyone..hope you had a good weekend..My weekend was good but I tell you I never left the house, I just didn’t want to brave the cold weather. Its only 13 degrees this morning. Josh and Kendra brought Kaylen over late Saturday afternoon to spend the night..Kendra won’t let Jaxon stay overnight..he’s only 5 months old, so for now Kaylen is the only one who comes for overnight visits..I have kept Jaxon before but they always come and get him..He’ such a sweetie..

Kaylen and I had a great time..as usual, she came in and got in her toy basket, she always pulls them out one at a time and acts like she has never seen them before, she hugs all her babies and pats them on the back, then she goes for her books..she LOVES books,she brings them to me one at a time and we have to look at the pictures..when she has it all pulled out and scattered everywhere, she pets Gemma, they love each other…then she gets her little chair and sits down in it and watches some TV..she jabbers ALL the time and she has such a loud little voice..(she inherited that from her MeMe I’m thinking..lol –*) then she says Nana, and more jabber..some words I can make out…and she blows me kisses all the time..and say mwah. So that’s her routine..lol

I was changing her diaper and her clothes for bedtime and she fell asleep while I was doing that..I covered her up and let her sleep on the couch..I layed down with her and fell asleep to, she woke me  up at 2:30 and we got in the bed..I woke up at 8 but she slept until almost 10. They came and got her late Sunday afternoon and I was so tired I layed down on the couch for just a minute and woke up at 11:30..

I have lots to show you today so I will shut up..you know I could ramble all day!!

My middle GS Chase, he had to wear that shirt that day and I made him let me take his pic before he left for school, and as you can guess, he didn’t want to..lol I used a kit by Chaos Lounge called Apple Pie..

This is such a fun layout..love how Paula used the word art and that bear is adorable..picture looks like those girls are having a good time..

I don’t see many layouts done with this much yellow in th em, but this looks really great..that belt really makes it..and I love the flash of red she used..

My fingers are so cold I can hardly type..I turned the heat up but they I don’t seem to be getting warmer..I think I need to go get back in my warm bed for a nap LOL

Friday and A Little Snow

Good Friday morning everyone..burrr its cold here, wind chill is 12 degrees..Gemma(my fur baby)usually wants out first thing in the morning, she turns circles in front of the door and dances around, well she was going full blast this morning until I opened the door, she turned around and ran to the couch..it was funny..

If you keep up with college football, you know that the University of Alabama won the national Championship game last night..we beat the Texas Longhorns..it got really interesting in the 3rd and 4th quarters but Alabama pulled it out..I am a die hard Auburn fan but I am proud for the state that they won.

Did any of you see the news yesterday about the Iguanas in Florida falling out of the trees because of the cold..they were just falling off like apples..and then they just laid there like they were dead..they said when it warmed up they would wake up..Here’s a url where you can see the video of the news and read the article..

We did get some snow yesterday, in the day time too! I enjoyed watching it fall..for a few hours it snowed really hard at times, big snowflakes but not much stuck.. I have a few pictures to show you of our “Big” Snow Storm LOL

Now, I realize that to some of  you, that’s not even a snowfall but it’s the first accumulation I’ve seen here in years..we used to get at least one good snowfall a year, sometimes 2 but not any more..global warming I imagine!

Kendra said Kaylen loved it and got to play out in it for a bit with Kendra’s sister and brother..wish she could have gotten pictures, but I had the camera…I let them keep it most of the time so they can catch the cute shots of the kids, I had it for our Christmas and forgot to let them take it home with them.  We are supposed to have a really cold weekend and maybe some more flurries today and tomorrow..

I sure hope all of you have a great weekend..I plan to spend mine inside where it’s nice and warm..Kaylen may come over, not sure yet, it’s been awhile since she has stayed the weekend..They have to call me on the phone for her so she can talk to me..of course that just melts my heart…she gets the phone and says Nana, Nana, then when she hears me, she says NANA NANA, then she jabbers and says Nana again, and so it goes. I asked her the other day if she was being a good girl and she said no, no…I guess someone had told her she was acting bad..LOL Every time their phone rings she runs to it and says Nana, Nana…If there is one thing I know, its that,that little girl loves her Nana! When I start talking to Jaxon he starts smiling and cooing, he is such a precious little boy..I am so blessed to have all of my GC and GGC.

LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW

Hello Everyone..

Hope 2010 is starting out good for everyone. Well, if you haven’t guessed it already, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow, a 90% chance of an inch or more..now I realize to some of you who have big time snow accumulations that 1 inch isn’t even snow..around here if there is any prediction of snow at all, the grocery stores will be full, bread and milk will sell out, there is a rush for batteries, alternate heating source, schools and business’s close..I guess I will have to brave the cold today (wind chill is 14 Deg.) and get a few things..Chase is here..he can’t wait for snow, he said he’s going out and play in it..LOL..I will probably sit up all night watching for it..seems like when it snows here it’s always at night…but we have predictions for all weekend so maybe it will fall some in the daytime.

The New Years Blog Hop went very well..I had 97 comments, the most I’ve ever had on one posting..I was afraid my blogger was going to die!! I enjoyed hearing from each of you and wish you would drop a note more often.My part is still up for download and I think a few more may be if you want to try.

We had our Family Christmas last week..Our family was all together for Christmas for the first time in several years. Cathy and her children Jake and Sarah Grace were here. We all had a wonderful time just being together. I have some pictures to show you.

It’s All Over

Hello everyone, I hope you all had wonderful Christmas’s and got everything you wanted…All the hustle and bustle and planning you do for so many months and then POOF it’s all over and done in just a few short hours. 

I had a very quiet Christmas.  My family celebrates on Christmas Eve night at mothers house..this year both Mother and Cathy have been really sick, so Angie and I decided that we would wait to have Christmas when they were better..but last night they were some better and we ordered pizza and that was our Christmas Eve supper..sure was good too..

I spent most of the day and the rest of the night on Facebook making a Vintage Album..I scanned a lot of all pictures back in my computer and had a good time making the album..A lot of my family is on Facebook and I knew they would enjoy looking at it..some of them had never seen a lot of the pictures.  I got a lot of good comments from them and that made feel good..It was like I got to give them a gift.

Angie called bright and early and I was fast asleep and missed that call..Gage left me a sweet message and I called them back..the boys had a good Christmas..wish I could have made my trip there but things just didn’t work out for me to go this year. I called my sister this morn to wish her and mother a Merry Christmas..Cathy was feeling better and she said she had decided to pretend that she got a new computer for Christmas and was going to spend the day playing Bejwewled..so I decided that was a good idea and that’s what I did all day, I finally made it to over a 100,000..a first for me..between doing that and watching some TV and napping I had a good day.I felt good and that was the best present I could have.

Josh and Chase went to their other grandmothers today and they enjoyed being with family there.  I talked to Kaylen on the phone tonight and she was so precious..she says Nana and then jabbers and then another Nana and more jabber..Thank the Good Lord her and Jaxon were both better..

I told you I would show you some of the reunion pics, I finally got them on the computer..

Out of seven children these are the only left, My Uncle Johnny, Mother, Aunt Joyce. Mother is the oldest of them. The funniest thing, mother had very black hair when she was young, she has been gray for as long as I can remember but she and my Aunt Joyce both are getting black again..see that spot in mothers hair? Wonder if it could be the Indian in them…their mothers grandmother was full bloodied Choctaw Indian. Her name was Tennie because she was born in Tennessee.
