Here I Am Again

Hi Everyone...

Gee it's been a long time since I was here...I guess you could say I took a Blog Vacation, but believe me that was the only vacation I had..lol

First of all, Friday night I got to keep Kaylen during Kendra's graduation..we had so much fun..she's  just growing and learning so many new things, and facial expressions, she cracks me up....and keeps me running!

Sunday Gage and Angie got here..she stayed the day and left Gage..he kept me on the road last week..but he must have had a good time because he wanted to stay again this week...he told his mother he wanted to stay 4 weeks and she could come and visit!!!!!

I told him we had to spend more time at home this week..he said ok nana, but I wonder how long it will last..I'm giving it until this afternoon before I hear "Nana I'm bored" LOL

Gosh while I was away my new Friendship word art was out in my store..

I got Kendra's scrapbook finished and I carried everyone out to eat at the Chinese buffet (Our favorite) to give her her gift and to celebrate her graduation from me..

Kaylen had a ball eating out too...she had puddin and jello and mashed up potatoes , eggs from egg drop soup and still wanted more..she was so sleepy by this time..

Friday Night Fun

Good morning everyone..hope your day has started out good...so far no rain last night or this morning..maybe the monsoons are over LOL...

Tonight's the big night for Kendra, she's graduating...she is so excited.  How well I remember my own graduation day. Our class was the largest to ever graduate from my school and also the first to be integrated...guess that tells you how old I am...!!! Ophelia was her name and she was such a sweet girl...I can only imagine how scared she must have been.  The 60's were sure turbulent times and I look back now and think did I really live those days and times..such a long time ago. It seems that every generation has its own turbulent times doesn't it.

Tonight I get to keep my sweet baby girl...can't wait...got my running shoes ready lol..Sunday Gage is coming to spend a few weeks with me, really looking forward to that also but its been a long time since I was around an 8 year old boy for days at a time...I may go to the pet store and get him a lizard or something like that, it always kept Josh and Chase occupied..

Water Logged Wednesday

Good Morning everyone..

I am tired of rain..its rained nearly everyday for the past two weeks..I love rainy days but in moderation LOL.

Do any of  you like westerns?  When I was little we went to the drive in movie a lot. My dad loved war movies and westerns so that's about all we ever saw. I can remember mother popping pop corn and putting it in a paper sack and ice water in a glass jar. I would get up in the back window and watch the show...today I still love westerns and war movies..

I spent the whole day Tuesday on the couch watching a John Wayne marathon on the western channel..is that being lazy or what..later in the day I got sick at my stomach glad I had my garbage can close by..I didn't feel good the rest of the day or night.  I'm feeling some better today..the nashua comes and goes.

Happy Memorial Day

Morning everyone..hope you had a great weekend..mine was good, I got to spend time with Kaylen..(Smiling real big) and that always make me happy!

I would like to dedicate my blog today to all the men and women of our armed forces who died in combat..and to all that are still serving at home and on foreign soil, and to all our military families.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 25 in 2009). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war), it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.

Stunned Thursday

Good Morning Everyone

From the title I guess you can tell I'm still stunned today from last nights American Idol winner...I was saying Adam and then wham the winner is Chris...I was so shocked I immediately picked up the phone to call my sister and she was on the line..her and my mom voted for Chris...I didn't much care which won..I wanted Danny to win..he was my favorite of them all..although I'm sure he will get a contract too. I really enjoyed the show last night, Queen was on and Kiss, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richey, a lot of my favorites.

I didn't make it yesterday, I was babysitting Kaylen and boy what a day!! That little girl is on the ball..she's EVERYWHERE before you can say scoot...I spent a lot of time holding her and rocking her and she seemed to like it...I think she may miss her nana a little bit.. late in the afternoon I finally got her to sleep, but only a short nap and then it was more of the same..by the time Josh picked her up at 6:30 my tail was dragging the ground LOL..but I loved every minute of it...she says goggie for doggie and she called Gemma all day..they love each other.
