TUESDAYS TALES

Hello Everyone..hope you are having a good week so far..Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday..I wasn't feeling good so I was lazy all day and did NOTHING..LOL Angie and the boys didn't get to come down Sunday and I didn't get my tree put up.  Josh, Kendra and I are going to put it up somethime this week.

I had a dull and boring weekend..I don't think I got out of the house.  The baby didn't get to come for the weekend as her other Grandmother was visiting and she had to stay home with her..that's only fair but I sure did miss the little stink. Angie send me the pictures we made Thanksgiving and some of them are so cute.  I thought I would share a few with you.  Better get comfy I have lots to show you today.

The game got so boring Kaylen and I took a nap and Angie just had to make a picture LOL..This is definitely not one of my better days!!

IT'S FRIDAY ALREADY AND A SPECIAL GOODBYE

Good Friday morning everyone..I imagine a lot of you have busy weekends planned, shopping and decorating...its that time of the year again.  I think Angie and the boys are coming down Sunday to put up my tree..I think I'm going to get a live one this year..a SMALL one..there are no carpets in this apartment so not a big mess to clean up needles and they make your house smell so yummy..the smell makes me feel good..

I had a brainstorm a while ago...why don't you make pictures of your trees and decorations and email them to me and I will post so we can all see them...it will be fun to share them..you can send to wordstodelite@gmail.com

SOMETHING TO SHARE

 

Hello friends hope all of you are well this fine morning. Don't faint because I'm blogging two days in a row!!!!

I received an award from Cautcha Lookin' Images called "This Blog Has A Heart" and it really touched me.  When I started Blogging I had no idea what to say...heck I really didn't even know what a Blog was..my dear friend Kim B. said don't worry about it just yak..and yakking is what I've been doing ever since..I don't lead a very exciting life and I don't have exciting adventures to share..I do however have the world of digital scrap booking..and what a wonderful world it is.  I have made so many wonderful friends thru the years, People I've never talked to, most I've never even seen a picture of but people with the biggest hearts in the world and so full of love.

  I don't know if you all know that my oldest daughter died in her sleep in Feb. she was 39 and left 3 sons...In July her youngest son Andrew passed away.  I've never seen such an outpouring of love and concern as I received.  The designers at DSO had a store wide 50% off sale for one day and the proceeds were astonishing, 2 times my friends at Scrapbook Max took up a collection and sent to me because they loved me..My friend Michelle at Crafty Scraps designed kits and sold them in a section of her store that she named for me and sent me the proceeds from sales. I received flowers, cards from all over the world, and even a very special phone call from a very special friend in South Africa!

I said all of that to say this..I don't deserve the award, ALL OF YOU DO..so I am passing it along to YOU, my readers. Without your love and support there would be no digital scrap booking community..you give us designers and bloggers help, support, inspiration and always make us feel loved.  From the bottom of my heart I want to say thanks and that will never be enough to express my appreciation.  God has blessed me so much by putting you in my life. So here is your award and I hope you accept it with all the love it contains.

I need to go today, have a lot to do, will be back tomorrow with lots of eye candy and surprises..

Granny's Tired

Well folks I've found out this old Granny gets tired now a days being Nana..lol I slept all day yesterday..off and on and a lot of Monday..I slept so much Monday I missed seeing the snow fall...it didn't stick but they said it was beautiful falling..

I don't guess I realized how tired I got over the weekend..I talked to my mother today and she was tired too..but it was such a great weekend it was worth it..we had Kaylen until tonight..I miss her already...I really believe she knows who her Nana is..she cried today when I was holding her and gave her to her Daddy....now that didn't make him feel too good..LOL I told him he used to do the same thing when I would give him back to his mom!  He said you are just a good  Nana and everybody loves you..well-I don't know about that but it sure made me feel good.

There is Always Next Year !!

Good  Morning Everyone..hope you all had great weekends, went to LOTS of Black Friday Sales, got lots of goodies and had fun with your families.

I had a great time with the kids being here..not so great cuz Auburn lost the big game...big time too..but I guess Bama needed bragging rights for a year since they haven't had them in 6 years!!  I have to say when we lose we do a good job of it..we didn't even score a point!!  However there is always next year!

Angie fixed the most awesome lunch for us...we had 5 dips, a bean one that is homemade and out of this world..I'm going to have to get the recipe and share with you all..all kinds of chips...2 kinds of potato salad...deviled eggs..barbeque pork and sauce...sliced ham and roast beef...wings..one hot one not...homemade peanut butter cookies...and drinks...beer, wine, diet coke..coke..and more..I ate way too much and was miserable but it was so good..if I didn't have to take so much medicine everyday I might have drowned my sorrow in too much beer..LOL

Angie got the bright idea to put mothers Christmas Tree up..its been a long long time since she got to help and we had a great time just reminiscing about past Christmas's and Angie had a great time looking at all Mothers old ornaments...some that belonged to my Granny. Dave put on the lights, Angie and I put hangers on the ornaments and the boys put them on the tree..mother just watched..

We had a few bad times over the weekend thinking about Lori but most of the time we talked about her it was remembering something funny she did on the holidays or how she loved this or that..I'm sure all your prayers were answered for us to get by so easily.

It's December and you know what that means...New challenges are up at DSO with some awesome posting gifts..my challenge is the Photo Op and here's is a preview of my gift.

Happy Thanksgiving and New Goodies

Good Wednesday morning to you all..

I'm taking the weekend off so this will be my last post until Monday.  I imagine a lot of you here in the states are already starting to prepare for Thanksgiving..I think my friend Carol (Crops2dawn) is knee high in potatoes since she is fixing 25 lbs of twice cooked potatoes for her family dinner tomorrow..oh and she won the war...they are having the traditional dinner instead of Clams..LOL

It will be a quiet day here tomorrow..The boys are going to their dads for lunch and my cousin is taking my mom and I out to eat.  Angie and her family are coming down Friday for the weekend.  We will be at my Moms Saturday for Thanksgiving and we are having finger foods.. all kinds of goodies.. and we are all watching the big game..Auburn vs Alabama..the BIGGEST GAME of the year for most people in Alabama and a lot of other places too!

It should be a loud fun day and a sad one for some, joyous for others..Auburn has a 6 year winning streak going but our season has not been a good one...Alabama is undefeated..sooooo---I'm not doing any braggin..just a lot of prayin..but you never know with that game..victory goes to the one who wants the win the most..we have 6 Auburn fans and 3 Bama fans watching..guess who will be the loudest..LOL..can't wait its going to be so much fun..Hoping it will help take our minds off missing Lori so much..this is going to be our first holiday without her,if you think of it, say a little prayer for us, and all those others out there like us.

A NEW DAY A NEW WEEK

Good Monday morning gang...hope all of you had a great weekend..I sure did..we had the baby for the weekend and Angie and the boys came down on Sunday and spent the day so I had all my grandkids and my great granddaughter and my daughter with me..it was such fun..The boys have grown since I saw them last and the baby grows and gets prettier everytime I see her.

I got so tickled at Josh this weekend I have to share this..Now I know we all remember when we were young parents and especially with our first, there were times when we got scared and frustrated and just didn't know what to with a crying screaming baby that wouldn't hush!

Kaylen had a cold this weekend and didn't feel good..seemed like every time we put her down she cried..especially when it was time for a diaper change..except she was really BAD with her dad. I watched him struggle with those one piece outfits, you know the ones with all the snaps, and her SCREAMING her head off..he would finally get it on her and pick her up and she still screamed..he walked with her and talked to her and she's till screaming..finally he would say take her Nana..and when I did she immediately got quiet..and start smiling at me..Josh got so upset and I explained to him that babies are so smart they sense when the one holding them is scared or nervous and they get that way too..and they cry.

I wasn't sure he believed me until Angie shared a similar story with him about when Gage was a baby...and then he seemed to see the light..oh new parents gotta love em..
